Locked Out Of Phone Because Tap To Talk Is The Only Available Option!!! HELP ASAP

[AC Question]

Hello, I have an HTC One (Red), and my keyboard suddenly stopped working and the only thing I had available was the 'Tap To Talk' I tried looking through my apps to see if something was disabled for it to not work, but there wasn't anything unnecessarily disabled. I assumed it'd fix if I restarted my phone, so that's what I did. But now I'm locked out of my phone and stuck with Tap To Talk. Mind you the gear icon isn't working! I have photos on my phone and memorable things I won't be able to recover whatsoever if I hard reset my phone, but it's the only option. Is there at all any way to fix this or will I have to reset it?
