What is this icon floating on my screen?

Hello.

I am using Nougat and have an icon constantly floating on my screen. If it press it, it turns blue and my phone vibrates. Another press, it turns grey and vibrates again. I can also move it around by pressing and dragging. Otherwise seems to do nothing! Has anyone seen this before?

In the screenshot, it's the grey icon next to the head at the top.

What device is that? It may be device-specific rather than Nougat-specific.

Welcome to the forums. Do you have Pulse or any other third party messaging app? Apps like ES File Explorer are notorious for pushing funny floating icons. Check out your running apps and see if there's something unusual in there. Also, see which apps have the 'draw over other apps' permission enabled.

I'm not sure that it's either a 5x or Nougat thing so I'll leave the thread right here rather than move it to either of those forums.

Thanks everyone. It turned out to be Select to Speak under the Accessibility settings. Turning it off gets rid of the icon.
