Galaxy S8+ doesn't recognize USB

[AC Question]

I'm trying to run an endoscope camera off my S8+ but the phone doesn't acknowledge that it's plugged in. The LED's are on but every app I've tried says,"no camera detected. Even under USB tethering in settings says, "no USB device connected". Any thoughts?

Maybe a plugin for the endoscope is needed?
