Suggestion for tablet to run a dedicated app.

I have ip cameras all around my home. I am looking for a tablet to run the IpCam Viewer app from the app store. That is the only thing the tablet will be used for.

It will be mounted on the wall in my wife's work area of the home. It will or can be plugged in 24/7. I prefer a 10".

We have been using a Samsung tab 10". But the other day I noticed the battery has expanded. I am guessing from being plugged in 24/7.

Suggestions on brands? Models?

Would a cheap no name China made tablet be worth it?

How important is the MTBF of the viewer? Depending on what you can price, if the china model was cheap enough to get two, or maybe 3, you could have redundancy without breaking the bank. If the system can be down for awhile, maybe a better model would be better. Lots of options to try and second guess.

MTBF not drastically important. It more a convenience to be able to watch the cameras. Even a older model 10" would be fine. I am just not sure of reliability of a cheap brand name

Reliability is a mixed bag, you could have a china junk that ran 5 years and a new highend that failed in a week. Highend would be a waste of money IMO. I'd go with a couple cheapies if you could find in 10".

Anyone know anything about irulu tablets? Mixed reviews from what I see
