how do i fix my Samsung Note2 that stopped charging?

I have my phone plugged into a charger and it started draining my battery until it was dead. Now it won't work at all. I replaced the USB port and it still won't acknowledge that the charger is connected. (I bought a new charger) I also tried an external charger, didn't work. Any suggestions?

A new battery, or repairer attention? The USB port, for example, may be bad.
