Phone is not recharging

[AC Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy Avant.
Only one of my chargers work, the oldest, rattiest one, and barely. The phone doesn't hold a charge either.
The battery is not hot or swollen.
Can I replace the battery to fix this or do I need to replace the phone? I have had it for three years without an issue. It's no longer under warranty.

Welcome to Android Central! The battery is user-removable, so it's a good idea to get a replacement battery (search on Amazon or eBay).
