Samsung galaxy s 2 tablet will not open PDF from original link on a website

When I try to open a PDF from a website the tablet flicks to the black page and starts the opening bar at the top. Within 2 seconds it then flicks back to the original page and won't open the PDF. It does not add the PDF to my files. It will open if I copy the PDF link to a new browser window, which is annoying. I have downloaded adobe reader and also gone into google drive and deselected it as the default. This has not helped. Hope someone can help. I am not too techie so keep it simple please.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you try saving the PDF first to the device, then opening it?

I had this problem a year ago. I fixed it by disabling Google Drive and using a different browser from Chrome.
