Transfer data from Apple Health to Google's?

I'm going to be switching from iPhone to Android within the next couple of months, and I want (need) to know if it's possible, and if so how, to export data from Apple Health to Google's equivalent.

Does Google Health only do fitness tracking? I don't particularly care about counting steps or actual activity levels (no smartwatch/band, so...) but I DO want to track / log other health related items such as weight and blood glucose, maybe a one or two other general health items.
