Why is my Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro has no messaging notification sound?

I have tried all the suggestions I read in the internet and spent lots of time figuring it out, but still, nothing happened. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! It'd help to get more details about the problem, and also to know what you've tried. Is this the stock messaging app? Are you getting notification icons in the status bar, just without any audible tone? Is your Ringtone/Notification volume slider turned up? Are the Notification settings in both the System Settings and in the Messaging app's settings correct?

go to settings >> apps >> messages >> notifications... disable "show silently"

I also have the same problem. I have also tried everything but no avail. It has nothing to do with the settings. I think Samsung should fix it and send us an update.

I had the same problem and now its fixed go to the settings - apps - tap apps - scroll until you see Whassap - then tap whassap and you will scroll down to apps setting - and tap on allow notification. hope that help
