My texting volume is low on my S8 plus

When I receive a text the volume of the alert is much more quieter then when your selecting the sound. I have my notification volume all the way up but doesn't make a difference. I've seen some say it's a security app but I don't have any thing like that. Also a volume app doesn't seem to help either. I just got the phone so don't really need to do a factory reset. Suggestions welcome!

If your notification volume is up full blast, try a different tone, one more harsh, sharper perhaps.... Factory reset is an act of desperation and not to be done lightly...
