why do I get whatsapp when I click on Chrome on my Lenovo K6?

I have a new Lenovo K6 and have downloaded what's app. But now every time I click on the Chrome button I get What'sapp instead. Any suggestions? I think it asked me to install the app in Google Play, I don't remember well. I am not a young technically minded person so would appreciate some help thanks!

Uninstall Whatsapp, is the problem gone?

Thanks for your reply...I will try uninstalling Whatsapp, and see if the same thing happens when I reinstall it.

Go to the Play Store for adding the app.

OK I tried uninstalling it and I still get what's app when I hit Chrome...any ideas?

I would try 2 more things first uninstall and reinstall Chrome. Delete whatsapp but do not reinstall. Do a hard reboot and clear the cache. If this does not fix it, send a screenshot, because I would be stumped.
