HTC desire 530 with red line in camera app

[Android Central Question]

There is no crack in the glass of the lens. However I can text, send messages and use other applications without a red line showing.It is only when I use the camera application that came with the phone does the lens shows a huge red line across the face of the screen. When I take a selfie the line doesn't show at all.

I have done a factory reset already... same result.
I have already done a bootloader to recovery and same result.
I have used other camera applications and it still shows the same red mark across the back camera lens.

Please help.

So it’s only the rear camera that shows it?
