What mail client would you recommend (GS5 Lollipop)?

I have a GS5 that I just updated to Lollipop. I've been using MailDroid for a few years and while I really like it, I just discovered that it is the reason my battery drains at a rate of ~7%/hour with the phone sitting untouched. I can configure it to update at 15 minutes but the battery drains or not update and it doesn't drain but does no good.

So, what FREE client would you recommend for a GS5 that doesn't kill the battery and can handle at least 3 accounts (yahoo, gmail). I want it to check for mail periodically and not destroy my battery.

So far, MailDroid works great but kills the battery. I've considered K9 and BlueMail but haven't done much testing. Gmail supposedly can support multiple accounts including yahoo.

I like AquaMail, but I think you need to purchase the "pro" version to support multiple accounts.
