Android Central Question

Hi All

Hopefully a simple question. I want my phone to send its number to my contacts only, so people i know can tell its me calling, esp family members. But anyone i don't know i do NOT want them knowing my number. I know how to change the setting on my Xperia but it the hassle of having to make the change everytime you want to call someone you don't know and often forgetting. Why? so companies out there don't get my number then keep phoning or texting constantly tryting to sell me junk. Should be obvious and simeple but i cannot see how.

Thanks

Simon

If your phone supports such a feature, it is a setting in your phone/caller app.
Most caller apps will only support {always send caller ID, never send caller ID, use network default} .

Most likely your phone does not support your desires, so you will need to use the "always send caller ID" and use "*67" when you want to block it from going out, or whatever code your carrier uses.
