Want to turn off tap to speak

I want to turn off tap to speak because I don't use it

Yes, it won't even let me double tap. It pops the Tap to Speak immediately.

Just a thought, what happens if you hold both volume keys for a few seconds? Do you get any accessibility menu?

Grrrr. I can't find much information about your phone and it seems to be running an older Android version (Oreo). All indicates that an accessibility feature is enabled and we need to find the right steps to disable it. I'll search a bit more and let you know what I find.

In the meantime you could try booting in safe mode and repeat all the the processes listed above.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Do you mean that you can't type anything because the keyboard only shows you the voice dictation interface?
