Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Try powering off, removing the SIM and inserting it again, then powering back on.

Hey, go to settings and then at network settings you Will see something like mobile network Check if you have LTE On at network type, if doenst appear to you the mobile network thing, your sim card is not even assumed by your Phone. If you cant change it to all types of network your Phone needs to be repaired.

If what B. Diddy suggested doesn't fix it, bring the phone into your carrier - the SIM could have gone bad (and they should replace it).
