Honor 5x recovery help needed

[Android Central Question]

I apologize if this has been asked already but I couldn't find a thread that helped...
So basically years ago I tried to root my Honor 5x and failed miserably. Now my phone is basically a blank from what I understand. With the help of some other threads I (possibly) installed an os to the phone but now it's stuck at booting. (as in it just shows the Honor logo)
Can anyone help?

I'm aware of the risks and there is no important information on the phone. I'd just like to learn how to fix this.

Have a look around here and learn how to flash the proper ROM properly.

Problem fixed. I found an APP file that helped reset the phone.
