Does an Android self reboot clear the uptime counter of the device?

I would like to check if my Android device performs any rebooting without my knowledge. For this it would be helpful to know, whether such a self-reboot clears the uptime counter of the system.

Yes - Uptime is a measure of time since last reboot.
