Why has my phone screen all of a sudden got a dark orange tint after it overheated?

i have a samsung galaxy s5 but it has never had any problem beforew and its been treated like a queen. Today my phone over heated and now my screen has a dark orange tint to it and ive turned it on and off but nothing has happened can you please help me

That may need repairer attention. Bear in mind that the cost of any repair may be uneconomical.

Welcome to Android Central! I agree. Screens don't like excessive heat, so if the phone got really hot, that probably damaged the screen. I'd be just as concerned about why the phone got that hot -- it might mean the battery is failing as well (and could also mean the battery is at risk for exploding or catching fire).

^ Yes you're right. I assumed an overheating processor but it could well be a bad battery in dangerous condition.
