Dell venue tablet wont connect to wifi

[Android Central Question]

Dell venue 10 android tablet. All of the other devices in the house are working though. Airplane mode is turned off. Cannot change the wifi frequency band to automatic. Just flips back to automatic. Scanning always available is on. I can't get internet at all. the wifi page, it is off & I canot turn it on at the button on the right of screen. It just keep saying turning wifi on. No list of wifi networks to choose from.
Help!!

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.
