If you reset your phone, the password key probably changed too. You should open it and pull everything out of it, then delete it, first. Now you may have to reflash a stock ROM to gain the space back.
Welcome to Android Central! A few questions:
1. Which Gionee phone?
2. What app did you download that reset the phone? Was this an app that was intended to reset it, or are you saying that you installed an app that caused a major glitch, and then the phone did a factory reset on its own?
3. Do you really mean a factory reset, or do you mean the phone just rebooted on its own? If it factory reset, then you would've had to go through the entire setup process again.
4. If the phone truly did a factory reset, then your private space password would've reset as well, but it wouldn't matter, because whatever data you stored in your private space would be gone anyway.
