Samsung A3 connects to home wifi but disconnects as timed out

[Android Central Question]

Changed from mobile wifi hub to BT wifi hub, now A3 will find wifi, allows us to logon to wifi (but wifi icon still shows locked symbol) then opens up google to 'sign in' - then disconnects stating timed out.

I've restarted router, forgot the network, restarted phone and still same happens. No other device is affected just the A3 phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you set up the router, or did someone else? Look at the manual to learn how to log into its settings using your computer browser, and make sure the SSID isn't something generic (like "linksys"), because if there are other routers nearby with the same SSID, you might be selecting the wrong network when you try to connect.
