Android Central Question

I have a business phone (Samsung J4+) and the battery percentage is constantly on 58%.

The battery indicator in settings also shows this. I have tried reset, factory restoring, calibration apps and am completely stumped.

I've drained the battery completely and recharged for hours to find that although the battery may have 100%, the phone shows 58%!

HELP!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Does this also happen in Safe Mode? https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-j4-plus/safe-mode/

This is a longshot, but could it be that you're actually looking at the battery percentage indicator from a prior screenshot that you're using as a wallpaper?

Does the battery actually still last a normal amount of time, or does the phone seem to shut down more quickly from low battery?

I agree with mustang7757, unless you have a severely restricted budget, I'd bring it to a repair shop or look into getting a new phone.
