Why do files (videos and photos) copied from PC to galaxy S10 SD card not show up in the Gallery?
When my S10 is connected to my PC via USB cable, I can see all of the videos on the S10 that I have copied to folders on the SD card. But none of them are showing up in the Gallery app?? I have never had an android phone where this wasn't the easiest thing in the world to do.

Maybe have to change a setting

Because Gallery shows what's in the Media Scan database, and the database doesn't get updated by copying files. You can restart the phone to rebuild the database after copying files (sound files won't show up either when you copy them) or you can run media.Re.Scan to rebuild it.

Welcome to Android Central! What video format are they? What directory on the SD card are you copying the videos to? Make sure there isn't a .nomedia file in that directory.
