Why do my voicemails take so long to download

[Android Central Question]

I receive phone calls in the morning that go into voicemail and I don't receive my voicemails till the afternoon. I have missed a lot of important messages that needed to be answered at that time of the call.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean that you don't get the notification until later? Which carrier are you using? Are you certain you have your voicemail inbox set up correctly in the Phone app's settings?
