Why my samsung galaxy s8 plus display just went off and won't display

My galaxy s8 display just went off. I has never hit the floor. I was using it then it just went of.

Let it charge on a wall outlet undisturbed​ for at least 6 hours. Then press and hold Power for about 20 seconds. Anything happen?

So you can hear it making startup sounds, or feel it vibrating? Is the red light still blinking?

If you can hear it make sounds (e.g., it rings if you call the number), then the display needs to be replaced. If all you see is the red LED light blinking, then I doubt the phone is actually powered on -- the battery probably has to be replaced.
