Mine varies. My houses first floor is a signal black hole so it tops out at 8 down. On the second floor, it tops out at the speeds you're getting.

On the street its a whole other story with 15-20 down, easy.

Mine are varying wildly here in at work, in Charleston, WV. I am hitting 2-4 bars of 4g, and tests have been a low of 4 down, and a high of 13 down, and averaging a consistent 2 up. But this is WV, and Vz hates us... The 4g has been wonky since it went live, from what I understand. With all the hills and valleys, our signal gets eaten up pretty quickly. One day I will have 4g in my living room, the next day, 3g only.

The 4g switch was just flipped here in northern IL (cue happy dance!), so...

In my bomb shelter of an office (seriously - 6ft thick limestone walls) - 5 down and 1 up.

In my kitchen at home - 14 down and 5 up

11.9 d / 3.23 u

I've only ran it a few times, and only get 2 bars here at work. I'll try it when I have full bars and see what I get.

BTW this was far SE part of Phoenix, Az area

Off topic (sorry no 4G where I live):

How far SE? I go to Phoenix on business frequently and got the Bionic in part in hopes of 4G coverage in Tolleson and Chandler. If its 3G its not the end of the world, but my phone takes a BEATING for about 3 hours straight CONSTANT data, and the 4G speed would/will be SOOOOOO nice.

One thing I discovered when doing speed tests is to much sure you try different servers. I'm in western IL and my default server was in Aurora, IL. To that server, I was only getting about 10 DL and 3 UP. When I switched to a server in Madison, WI I am now getting close to 20 DL and 5 UP. And this is repeatable, so it's not just a one-time fluke. Could be congestion to the specific server, or could just be an overloaded server. But it's probably best to do tests to several different servers and take an average to get a better idea of your actual speed.

Yeah I noticed the Tampa, Florida server nearest to me on the Speedtest app is always slower. I usually do the Speakeasy Speedtest. Just go into the browser on the phone and go to http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. I get better results there. I just got 13 down and 2 up on only 1 bar of LTE.

In the sacramento-natomas area I got a record of about 31,000 down.

4G was just turned on in Santa Cruz (were I live) the day after the bionic was released, and I was getting up to abbot 25,000 down.

Values in kbps of course.

I live in SE Gilbert and drive all over the metro area. I have the Charge and have consistent 4g inside the 101 and 202 and I-10. That encompasses most of the metro area. I've heard your 4g radio/firmware is a little more stable so you may do better.

I consistently do above 10 down and about 6 up
