Windows 7 won't recognize Razr M since update

Every since I did the latest update (I believe its been dubbed KitKat??) Windows 7 will not recognize my phone. I get USB Device Not Recognized error.

I tested the cable with another phone so it definitely isn't the connector that is the problem and the error didn't show up until AFTER I did the update.

Restarting the phone occasionally gets Windows 7 to recognize it but not consistently.

Welcome to Android Central! Is your Windows 7 PC fully updated as well?

Try installing Motorola Device Manager, if you haven't already--it probably has the latest USB drivers as well: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_detail/a_id/89608/p/30,6720,8577

I did download the newest Device Manager and that did not help as it tells me there are no new drivers.

If I do manage to get it to acknowledge the phone, if I have to unplug for any reason, it stops recognizing it again.
