Won't turn on..

So my brother, anger issues asside, as dropped his phone a few times, cracked the screen, even broke part of it off. But it still worked. Well he threw is phone, and now it wont turn on. I haven't tried booting into recovery or while plugged in yet. But is there another option besides replacing it?

So an update.. We tried plugging it via USB for two computers, didn't work. It used to. And we tried through HDMI to atleast get the screen, we got it for like 2 seconds. The ports might be broken? Not sure if charging would work anymore.

Is there nothing? Replacing / Buying the parts to release is kinda too pricey. I think we can manage if we can get whatever data we can off, but the usb dosent work, that we know of, and we cant see the screen.
