"account could not be validated" error when making calls

has anyone else gotten this error when they are trying to make calls? i called sprint and they had me dial ##sxi digit number then #, and i guess my phone was supposed to do something, but since it was rooted i don't think it did anything. anyone else gotten this error and how did they fix it?

it means your phone is not programmed with your phone number. OR the ESN on the current number is different from the phone your attempting to use.

Call them back, or go to a store for a resolutions.
