Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get a new phone on my Verizon account that still has unlimited data and also get a subsidized rate for the phone, and I have a plan that I'm wondering whether it will work or not. I am on a family plan, and my parents want to get my 11 year old sister a dumb phone just so they can keep in touch with her. The plan is, if I add a line and get the smartphone I want at the subsidized cost with a data plan, and then buy a dumb phone somewhere else for full price, then I could cancel the data plan on that new line and just activate the dumb phone on the new line, and keep the smartphone and activate it on my line without losing data. Does this make any sense? Will it work? Any input is appreciated!
