Partitioning a new SD card

I have a new SD card that I need to partition it for my new phone, I have previously done this but I am uncertain about some steps as its long time since I done it so I decided to ask you. I have a 16 gb card and want to split it in parts and then use it with Linke2sd.
According to this article How to Partition SD Card and Use Link2SD in any Android Phone with Screenshots in part 7, if I choose 14 gb for the first partition do I need to choose FAT32 or EX2? and do I have to create a nnew partition for the second one and should I choose EX2? And should both be as Primay?

Thanks in advance

Re: Partitioning a new SD card

1) Use the AParted app. It makes it easier to just partition the card in the phone.

2) The partition you want readable by the computer, to store files on, should be FAT32. The one you want Link2SD to move apps to should be ext4. (Ext2 is only slightly newer than buttonhooks.)
