any similar apps to "wakelock detector"?

just recently, instagram consumes almost 200% of the screen power. for example, if the screen consumes 13% of the battery power, instagram consumes 26%.

i forced it to stop, but it still remains on top of the list.

so i installed wakelock detector, but now it requires root access. so i am wondering if there are any other apps that can solve my problem?

How much do you use Instagram? I suspect it uses a lot of battery because it's frequently accessing the web to refresh data, like most social media apps (like Facebook). There is probably a setting within Instagram that will allow you to select a longer interval between refreshes, or just change to manual refresh.

If you force stop it, it will still remain at the top of the list for a while, because you have to wait for more time to pass before something else overtakes it. The battery percent use is over time, not instantaneous.
