Why is my phone using lots of storage and only have about 60 photos on?

why is my phone using lots of storage and only have about 60 photos on

system storage says 12.98GB /1600GB and SD card 274MB /29.71GB All my pics or downloaded pics are on the SD card....and like I say in total only 60 pics, no music. Is there anything I need to do. I have done the obvious, clear cache, clear ram. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums. Are you referring to the internal storage of the device? The 16 GB is before the OS takes it's share. So your 12.98, is about right.
