wifi is saved and secured but not connecting

Hey guys. i started to face this problem a week ago. whenever i put a password even if wrong, wifi becomes saved and wont connect.
I have done factory reset, router reset almost everything.
It is not a hardware issue as Bluetooth is working.
PLease tell a solution. could be messing with kernals or drivers i dont know.

Please help.

Re: wifi is saved and secured but not connecting

Bluetooth has nothing to do with WiFi.

I take it from your post that the phone finds the network and lets you put in a password, but fails to actually connect to the internet. Try these steps, in order, until it (hopefully) works. They are some of the most common fixes for stubborn WiFi connections and have been successful in many cases. Do 1-5 together, 6-10 one at a time. Just to be sure, start with a simple router reboot. I know you said you did it already, but humor me and try it once more.

1. On the phone go to: Settings . WiFi > Long-press on your network > Forget network.

2. Turn off the phone.

3. Unplug the power to the router for at least 30 seconds.

4. Plug in the router and give it plenty of time to fully reboot, at least 3-4 minutes.

5. Turn on the phone and try to connect.

6. Open a browser and get into Setup in the router.

7. Set security encryption to WPA2/AES. Do not use TKIP or AES/TKIP.

8. Try setting static IP addresses.

9. Try using Google's DNS servers. 8.8.8.8 for the primary, 8.8.4.4 for the secondary.

10. Update your router firmware.

Re: wifi is saved and secured but not connecting

Here is what fixed it on my Android/Cyanogen machine. It is related to Google Locations:
On the main screen, swipe down to select the Gear icon (Settings)
Select Wifi and make sure it is On
Select the 3 vertical dots on top right
Select Advanced
Turn OFF "Scanning Always Available"

This resolved the problem for me
