My goal is to keep the stock email app in Kitkat. This stock app was mysteriously and unfortunately replaced by a gmail interface app by Lollipoop, and the gmail replacement both sucks and cannot handle exchange eamil accounts. In any event, I hate the gMail style interface.
Is there a custom ROM you can suggest where I could keep the stock email app in Kit Kat?
My phone is a Moto X (2013). I love the size and feel in the hand and then lack of bloatware. I rooted and froze the Motorola Update Services app. so--hopefully-- I am not longer hounded to update my phone.
I have installed Cyanogenmod before on an S3. But it seems Cyanogen is now at 12.1 and Lollipoop.
Is there a custom ROM you can suggest where I could keep the stock email app in Kit Kat?
- (a) Good custom ROM for KitKat 4.4.4
- (b) somehow lock or freez the stock email app in KitKat and upgrade to Lollipoop without have the Google Mobile Services destroy the stock Kitkat email app?
- or (c) something else?
