Bluetooth, how can I get it paired again to my car?

For some reason my Bluetooth disconnected from vehicle. I removed in the car. Now I am trying to pair. Still shows as a device on my phone. I need to be able to add a device to pair, but no option for that in the Bluetooth. How do I do this now

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have? Are you connecting to a factory-installed Bluetooth system in the car, or aftermarket? If the car system is still paired with the phone, what happens if you tap it?

Try forgetting the device, then go through the process of pairing again.
