How do I customize my own text notification sound with a Samsung J2 phone?

how do I customise my own txt notification sound with a Samsung J2 phone

I just bought a samsung J2 phone. I was able to customise a song for my ringtone but can`t find how to make my message notification sound one of my songs as well.
There seems to be only pre selected message tones in the list and no where which says add a tone like the ringtone list did.
Is there any way to make a song my txt notification sound or is that not possible with this phone?

Hi,

Download a file manager, or if your phone has one pre-installed use that. Locate the ringtone that you want and cut and paste this into the notification folder. That way when you go into change the notification tone, you should see the ringtone that you moved.
