Why does my Bluetooth keep disconnecting and then reconnecting?

A

AC Question

Happens in two different cars - but not my BT speaker in the house for whatever reason? In one of the cars, Acura, it also will not update the display when forwarding or changing the song.

Anyone else have this?

They are compatability issues. When android updates wifi to anew version backwards compatability is lost. Your cars BT module will either need reflashing or replacing

Low tech answer
I have had android forever
Never a problem disconnecting
S5 now. About a year

2 weeks ago I purchased a bluetoooth 2 way splitter type item to hook up 2 devices at once for guitar and mike for instance
(I am a hobbiest)
I charged it. Put it in my guitar case and put case in car and forgot about it.
Phone started to disconnect from car on regular basis.
I went to this forum and found many experiencing same problem.
THEN
EUREKA
I remembered what I had done, took case out of car and it stays connected all time now.
Dunno, it seems possible that most of these disconnect issues are due to other, forgotten Bluetooth devices in range that don't require a code to pair.
A Toy, A Dre Beats, anything.
It has been 2 days now so I know that was my problem.
As far as wifi disconnecting
If you xfinity and you go home or office ut may stay connected to the Xfinity signal next door instead of yours so you have yo check it.
That happens to me occasionally
Lemme know.
