The google now search has been driving me crazy on my Note 4. When I open up and try to execute a keyboard search I get this pause in keyboard input. Sometimes it will take the first character or two then freeze up. Once it unfreezes it puts the key strokes that happened after the free at the beginning and scrambles up my text. Between this and other laggieness I feel like I'm just too fast for this phone to keep up with, lol. I'll sometimes wait 5 or 6 seconds to give it some time before searching.
I've tried starting up in safe mode and the issues are no better.
Every time I see the app updates I'm hopeful the problem is fixed as this is an unexcusable usability bug.
Does anyone out there know how to fix this? I've found the posting that talk about disabling phone searches but that does nothing for this problem.
