Phone looks a lot different after factory reset with latest update installed

Less topics under settings. Long google bar that appears in every screen is gone. Overall doesn't look as nice as it did before. Is it because thats the way Android 8.0.0 looks now? Phone is a Moto z play

Welcome to Android Central! The settings menu probably just has a few more layers, with a corresponding decrease in the number of top-level categories. You should still be able to add a Google Search Bar widget on any homescreen.
