How come an error message comes up on Twitter?

An error message comes up on twitter. The message: "cannot retrieve messages at this time, please try again later." I have cleared app cache, app data, have uninstalled the app and got it back again. The error message still comes up. App is updated to the recent version. There is nothing wrong with my phone. I have a samsung galaxy J4 plus. The software is updated to the recent version. The same error message came up on Twitter on my previous phone which was a Huawei phone.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the General Help forum, since the former is intended for developers to promote their apps.

Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data? Are you having any other issues with web connection in other apps?

Thanks for moving it. The error message comes up on data and wifi. I am not having any other issues with connection in other apps.

Could it be an issue with the Twitter servers? Are you able to access your Twitter account on your computer browser, or on other devices?
