The only way to get rid of the type writer is to push the button on the left like I am trying to close at my apps. I pull back open the internet and the type writer is gone. I want it to go back to normal and close every time. How do I fix this??
Which phone?
Which version of android?
Which carrier?
Which keyboard app?
Looking at the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen:
When your keyboard is active, does the "back arrow" button become a "down arrow" button to dismiss the keyboard? My LG V30 running Android 8.0 does this.
The circle "home" button will always take you to the Home Screen, dismissing the app.
The square "recent" button will always bring up the stack of recently used apps, which will push the current app into the background.
Does this happen on any website, or only certain ones? If it's only certain websites, then perhaps those sites are set to automatically prompt the user to enter text in a text entry field for some reason (e.g., to log in, or to search the site).
