Cable tethering between Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 10.1

I have a Sprint Note 2 phone and a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. I have the mini USB to 30 pin cable to connect the two devices to tether them with the hopes of sharing the data on the tablet when I can't access wifi. However the tablet doesn't seem to recognize the tether. It does appear to see it connected to the phone for photo exchange and such. Is there an app that I can install to connect two android devices to access the internet on the tablet via the phone's data plan? All the ones on the market seem to allow only the phone to be tethered only to a computer or laptop.

Those devices dont have thether clients by default and thedering require new network interface which require special module in kernel to support specific thedering which means you need custom system to make it technicly possible. I recomand to visit XDA to search
