App failure rate

When looking at Android phones by different manufacturers are they all the same in term of app crashes or do they vary? Obviously there will be performance and hardware quality differences but will Skype, for example, have the same rate of failure on a Nexus 5 compared to a LG G2 running the same version of Android or are some phones worse than others due to manufacturer installed software or other issues?

It varies by device, manufacturer, and what the user has installed on the device. There's really no way to find a number that could be used to apply globally.
