I'd like to tap my phone once and have the Google Assistant open and waiting for my command. Don't want to enable voice and don't want to tap to open the assistant and then tap to do a search. Just a single tap. This used to work but doesn't seem to now.

Suggestions?

Thank you!

Thanks for your quick reply! I forgot to mention I am running the Microsoft launcher if that is relevant. I just discovered that if I hold the home button, the assistant does come up but I need to press it again to get the assistant to listen to my instructions. I was looking for a single tap. A single press/hold of home button would be great as well.

Hi, welcome to AC!
Should look in your launchers section under gestures and input
