How to Connect Laptop directly to ChromeCast without using any WiFi modem ?

Hey Everyone,
I know WiFi modems are every where, but still there are chances & places where we lack one or WiFi connectivity authentication is not supported for chromecast..
Is there any way, that by using the inbuilt WiFi capabilities of Laptop & Chromecast we can directly connect them ? (Kinds of Like Bluetooth eh )

If there is, please let me and others know..

Welcome to Android Central! As far as I know, you need a home wi-fi network set up in order to connect any device to your Chromecast.

I think the trick here would be something with Internet connection sharing. Our a simple bridged network connection in some manor.

I think the issue will be the need for certain services like dhcp. And to bridge a connection means you need two nics.
