-So the title pretty much asks it all. I bought this: http://www.rearthusa.com/google-nexus-4-ringke-slim-case for my Nexus 4 (and love it btw, its perfect) but if the Wireless Charging Orb is $60 like the leaked LG website page grab shows, i will want to get it. Does the phone HAVE to be exposed to charge? If so i guess i'll just buy the Google N4 bumper.

PS Just to make it officially said: I am having the "screen turns on by itself while charging" problem. I also think there is a lot about Jelly Bean that can be streamlined. Was more of a fan of ICS with the lock screen, that you could drag to unlock but also drag to go straight to camera. Instead of the weird "page" unlock screen where you can swipe left or right to apps. Also when 2-finger dragging the sliding task bar from the top...why in the world does clicking "wifi" take me to the wifi settings page and make me drag the "wifi on" button..instead of just turning wifi on?

Impossible to say since no one has the orb. :-!

However, no, the back does not need to be naked for wireless charging - it can charge through some case materials with some chargers currently. Go to the accessories page to read some experiences.

I'd imagine it have to have some pretty strong pull to charge through the case, but I have no experience with it, so I can't say. I have a similar case and a bumper, so it I'm prepared either way.

Thanks. I was assuming some people have that other charging dock (energizer i think it is?) and if they have used their N4 with it in a case maybe people knew to what level a case could be on and still get charged.

Does anyone have any opinions on the official Google N4 bumper? It looks nice but i did read that its pretty bulky. Just curious.

Well, I'm just assuming that not all chargers are going to be the same. I wouldn't want to promise anything without knowing for sure.

Check out this section - all sorts of experiences with different covers and chargers: http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-4-accessories/

Just an update. I bought the Orb, it totally charges with the case on.

Another update: My N4 updated to Android 4.2.2 and it's screen still turns on during charging. I noticed sometimes it doesnt do it, and when it does, its always around 94-96% charged, and the screen is turning on because it stops and starts charging off and on. I look at the lock screen and the little "96% Charged" sentence (that only shows when your charging the phone) flickers, it pops up and goes away over and over quite fast. This bug sucks, and should be a first priority of Google/LG to fix.
