That's the problem I'm having all of a sudden. My 16 GB Nexus is showing ~5.7 gb free. This thread: [HOW-TO] How to flash a factory image / return to stock / unlock / root # - xda-developers suggests factory resetting and if that doesnt work basically reflashing everything. Not sure how repeating the same steps would solve the space problem. Been flashing problem free for awhile, I don't know why 4.3 is giving me all these problems now.

Eh? Reflashing everything again? Did it solve your storage thing?

I dont think I am ever going to look forward to Google updates after this. Stick to custom ROMS.

It seems Google is screwing around trying to buy time. At first I was told they would send me a phone but now it's "our specialists are looking into your problem". Six days and counting...

Tried 2defmouze's guide - http://forums.androidcentral.com/ne...3923-guide-nexus-4-factory-image-restore.html?

Follow it word for word. You'll have a fully functional 4.3 N4 in less than 10 minutes.

Do I have to flash my N4 completely again to correct the wrong storage reporting issue? Everything else works great. Someone please advise.

NOTICE TO ALL! Here was MY Fix for someone who knows next to nothing about rooted devices etc....

like many of you, i tried to update my Nexus 4 (which had paranoidandroid on it) and it got stuck at the Nexus X screen for hours.

After much searching, i was able to fix it by entering fastboot mode, then going into recovery mode. To factory reset and wipe all data, hold the power button and 'tap' the volume up button. After it finishes formatting, reboot the device. This fixed my problems. Nexus 4 is back to working after a few hours in a nightmare.

Just a quick question, were any of you guys charging your phone during the update procedure?

Most of the people having the issue are on stock recovery :(

Hi there, I fixed that problem for me:

Here's how I fixed it:

  1. When styck on X, press power + volume UP for a while
  2. It should appear the "Google" logo again and restart the booting process.
  3. You are going to see the X again, but it should go normal.

Hope it helps.

Hail to all thee, yee rooting Scallywags!

Check out Wugfresh faq!

It is possible, that to unroot your wee pocketparrot, you used a custom recovery and alas, the OTA (Only-The-Abyss, commonly misspelled Over The Air) update won?t work.
In this case set sails to the following link, and remember, remember what to do next time.

Actually, if you broke your phone because of this, then it wasn?t google, who threw you to the sharks, you jumped in yourself!

Harr, harr!
