Hotspot timeout - wifi and bluetooth. Any way to keep these phones reconnecting automatically?

Hi!

I keep an old phone in my car to use for pandora and soundcloud, connected to my Nexus 6 via wifi hotspot or bluetooth with shared data.

For my delivery job I have to get in and out of the car frequently and I'd like for my old phone to automatically reconnect. It seems though that I'm having to re-enable to hotspot or bluetooth each time I exit and enter the car. On other phones there is an option to keep the wifi hotspot from timing out, but I can't see anything like that on the Nexus 6

Does anyone have an idea how I can make this setup work without having to re-enable everything each time I get back in my car?
